Episode 13 — PocketMac
Better late than never, Episode 13 is finally here (there were some, shall we say, editing challenges.
MJCP and APC's Dan Warne chat with Tim Goggin, co-founder and Vice-President of PocketMac. Topics include the changing mobile device landscape, iPhone development, cloud computing and frozen kittens. Also, what is Apple up to with the iPod, what is Microsoft up to with its retail strategy, and what does 91 percent revenue share really mean.
Listen now!

Your doing better than me then - 10 minutes after I had downloaded it someone ran up the back of me on the way to work!
No damage, just annoying, and it made me late by the time I had stopped to check everything, and calm the other driver down - I think the other driver was more distressed than me.

As long as you're not injured then all is okay. My warped sense of humour is wondering that given the podcast subject, was the other car trying to sync with you?

Nuts, I'm on wireless broadband through my tethered iPhone until our broadband account gets changed over (going NDSL). This one will have to wait.

Great podcast even though very choppy in places!
What if the very first customer into a Microsoft Store buys Office for Mac!

Re: Episode 13 — PocketMac
Unfortunately Tim Goggin's audio was very uneven, and it took a lot of fiddling to get it to the point it's at. And, of course, I'm no audio engineer so it's still pretty dodgy. If anyone out there is an audio engineer and wants something to do of a Friday with very very very* little money involved, let me know.
(*very very very very very very very very very very very very very)

Re: Episode 13 — PocketMac
Another great podcast, although Tim's audio was a bit start and stop but I could still understand him.
With the MacBooks going up in price, it wasn't so much the case of the economy being stronger and Apple thinking they could get away with charging us more. It was a case of those MacBooks being the first runs of the Unibody models. They had to retool the factory and things like that so they recouperated the cost by upping the price.
I think it was in the quarter 2 announcement last year that they said they would be switching to some new process that would cost them money and they expected revenue to drop a bit. They were talking about the Unibody MacBooks.
